The Women in Business Committee of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce (MBWIB) was formed in the Spring of 1998. MBWIB’s mission is to provide programs and opportunities in leadership, development, mentoring, education and networking for women (and men) in business. To further this goal, the MBWIB Committee holds monthly luncheons, an annual conference, and a fall tea and service awards event, and provides support for women seeking positions on Corporate Boards and agency appointments. In the last six years WIB has funded twenty-three $2000 scholarships which helped twenty-three local students get college educations. The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee expanded its outreach for the millennium to provide funds for breast cancer research and a breast cancer post-treatment support group at The Wellness Community as well as other charitable organizations. We welcome new members to our diverse and dynamic group.
The Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee committee is an amazing group of energetic, hard-working women dedicated to their community and to enriching the lives of women in business and our enhancing the quality of life in our community.
