Being a Part of The Southbay Conference for Women

Redondo Beach resident and native Californian, Kathryn Lane, currently manages marketing and real estate for her husband’s home design company, Lane Design Build. After attending her first South Bay Conference for Women in 2011, she left feeling motivated and impressed.

“I loved it!” exclaimed Lane.  “It was more than networking. I made real connections!“

Lane was drawn to the conference by the theme: “Reinvent and Inspire”. Between the difficult recession and imminent ‘empty nest’ syndrome with her daughter leaving for college, Lane craved fresh ideas.

“The theme really sparked my interest because I knew it was time for ME,” said Lane. “It was time for me to dedicate a half a day to ME, and focus on MY passions.”

Lane was also delighted to learn that Kristina Ripatti would be a speaker at the conference; Lane Build Design renovated Ripatte’s house for the popular show Extreme Makeover so, needless to say, Lane was thrilled for the opportunity to meet her personally.
